Job Description:
Responsibilities include but not limited to: ? Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteer staff, assigning work and fostering a congenial atmosphere of inclusion that promotes a thriving, welcoming Veterans Center. ? Performs ongoing financial management and long-term planning, monitoring and reporting. ? Develops an annual operating budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors , maintains financial records, and provides regular reporting. ? Works with the Board to develop strategic plans, establishing goals and objectives for the Center. ? Acts as a spokesperson for the Center. ? Conducts community outreach by developing programs, hosting community activities and meetings that further the mission and benefit the community. ? Takes the lead role in developing a clear marketing strategy that increases visibility in the community, improves volunteer recruitment, and promotes collaboration with community partners. ? Maintains and analyzes visit and use records and makes adjustments to programming and promotion. ? Participates in educational activities and attends meetings of a cross-section of Veteran groups to stay current with developments and best practices in Veteran Center management. ? Participates in regular training including but not limited to health and safety training such as CPR/First Aid Certification and Mental Health First AID/Crisis Intervention (within the first 90 days of employment), and program training such as Volgistic, the Center’s volunteer management software and Constant Contact, marketing, event planning, and online newsletter software.
Experience Required:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ? Supervisory skills with experience working with volunteer sta?. ? Excellent organizational and communications skills for coordination of programming and daily facility operations. ? Written and spoken communication skills. ? Experience developing partnerships and identifying creative solutions. ? Ability to create and maintain a database of volunteers, guests, collaborators and presenters. ? Interpersonal/team interaction skills, work with diverse community and a variety of committees. ? Basic financial management skills to develop and maintain operational funding with a willingness for further training. ? Basic proficiency with word processing, data management and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent programs). ? Ability to work independently as well as productively as part of a team to accomplish mutual goals. ? Must pass a MA Criminal Records (CORI) check. Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (beneficial but not required) ? Experience in nonprofit development and fundraising. ? Skill with social media including Facebook, “X,” Instagram, and website management. ? Background or experience with military life, culture and service terminology. Qualifications ? A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to support a nonprofit organization and develop and manage a Veterans center sta?ed primarily with volunteers. ? Prior military service preferred. ? Even if you do not have one hundred percent of the skills outlined above but are passionate about the work, we encourage you to apply. Physical Requirements: ? Job Description:
Maintains and coordinates the operational schedule, function, and physical needs of Falmouth Community Veterans Center. Responsibilities • Daily tasks as needed o Monitors Center’s online calendar for speci?c program set up needs o Coordinates with Center Director and volunteers to plan and execute needs speci?c to each activity & event at the Center o Conducts regularly building walkthroughs, identifying maintenance needs of building and grounds: ? Furniture and equipment are in working order, lighting is operational, heat/AC are functional and set properly for the season, speci?c cleaning needs are addressed, grounds are safe and presentable, ?ag is properly set • Coordinates with presenters, program leaders, and organizations using the building a week in advance of events/activities to ?nalize building and setup needs, times the building needs to be open, etc. • Opens and closes (or coordinates the opening and closing of) the building for events o Parking lot and pathways are clear and safe o Trash and recycling is emptied/removed • Ongoing Tasks o Monitors and addresses list of facility tasks, maintains record of completed maintenance and repairs, communicates needs to Center Director o Conducts regular/periodic inspections to identify necessary maintenance tasks • Point person for service providers o Alarms, snow removal, lawn mowing/grounds maintenance, other • Seasonal Tasks o Monitors watering of trees/shrubs during warm months, gets property ready for winter–draining hoses, putting up driveway markers, monitoring tool conditions, and snow melt supplies, etc. o Create lists of tasks for All Hands workdays
Experience Required:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Basic pro?ciency in/willingness to learn Google Docs and Google Calendar and/or other online platforms used by the Center • Troubleshooting basic facility systems including power, HVAC, phone, appliances • Ability to work independently and productively as part of a team to accomplish mutual goals • Must pass a MA Criminal Records (CORI) check Quali?cations Those who do not have one hundred percent of the skills outlined above but are passionate about the work are encouraged to apply Physical Requirements The ability to meet the physical demands of light maintenance tasks including lifting 40lbs (e.g. bag of snow-melt, receiving packages) and climbing ladders (e.g. to change a bulb or battery) This is a part-time, per diem/hourly position, $25.00 per hour up to 20 hours per week. Paid professional development for approved courses. Work schedule is somewhat ?exible and requires some weekend and evening hours. No healthcare or retirement bene?ts currently offered.

Job Description:
Development Coordinator will be involved with stewardship activities related to non-profit fundraising and relationship management, including working with a team to create and implement the fundraising, development and communications strategy for Belonging to Each Other, as well as donor and rant research and tracking. This role is entry level and will serve as the catlyst for a successful career in non-profit fundraisng and relationship management for the right candidate. 1. Assist with the creation and implementation of the Development Plan that incorporates a range of strategies including annual appeals, major donors, grants, corporate and individual appeals, social media nd special BTEO and partner events. 2 Support the Board's Development Committee and the event and other volunteer teams, including taking minutes and disseminating them. Work with committees and the ED in creating event budgets, event preparation and attend events for set up, implementation and clean up. 3. Assist with the drafting, production and implementation of appeal campaigns and other fundraising communications and strategies. 4. Create content for and and propose updates for the “donate” and “events” pages of the BTEO website. 5. Perform grant research and assist the volunteer grants team by maintaining up to date content for the grantwriters.. 6. Perform administrative duties as needed including ?ling, copying, sorting, mailing, etc. 7. Assist in the production, personalization and mailing of acknowledgments and thank you letters. Assist the Executive Directors by preparing call lists to thank donors and supporters. Assist in making calls. 8. Attend networking meetings and community events with the Executive Director or other senior staf to re?ne BTEO’s relationship management skills, and enhance BTEO outreach and capacity. Assist in the scheduling, preparation of materials, and assembling supplies for these meetings and events. 9. Other duties upon request.
Experience Required:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of communication principles and practices. 2. Knowledge and experience with data entry systems and reporting. 3. Knowledge of social media tools: Facebook, Twitter, Knowledge of website management. 4. Interest and desire to learn how to become an impactful development professional 5. Pro?cient in the use of various MS Ofice programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook, and ability to use various databases. Experience with Donor Perfect and Constant Contact a plus. 6. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow through with minimal direction. 7. Attention to detail, project management skills, and being highly organized a must. 8. Flexibility in varied job assignments. 9. Willingness to pitch in when/where needed. 10. Upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor a plus. 11. An understanding of and belief in, the mission of Belonging to Each Other 12. Ability to work with compassion and patience in an environment shared with people experiencing homelessness 13. Bachelor’s Degree Physical Requirements: 1. Maintain dexterity, vision and coordination, suficient to perform essential functions. 2. Ability to sit for extended periods of time for 4-6 hours a day. 3. Must be able to lift and move full ?le archive boxes. 4. Requires the ability to be mobile (including, but not limited to walking, bending, squatting, crouching, twisting, kneeling, reaching, etc.).
